telc German C1 General and C1 University Exam at speakeasy Stuttgart

Your Official Proof of German at C1 Level

The telc German C1 General exam is designed for anyone who would like to officially certify very advanced general German language skills and use the language confidently in social and professional everyday life. For those who specifically need a university-related language certificate, there is also the telc C1 University exam.

While the general C1 exam confirms your excellent German skills for everyday life, work, and communication, the C1 University exam is specifically tailored to the academic context and is required for admission to German universities and higher education institutions

What Can You Do at C1 Level?

At C1 level, you have a highly advanced command of the language. You can express yourself spontaneously, fluently, and in a structured way, and you rarely need to search for the right words. You can also confidently understand and clearly communicate complex content.

You are able to understand demanding texts and read between the lines. You recognize implicit meanings and can express yourself in a nuanced way on abstract topics. In conversation, you can switch flexibly between different language styles and adapt effortlessly to various situations – in everyday life, at work, or at university.

In both written and spoken communication, you can present logical connections, argue effectively, and convincingly defend your point of view. Overall, you make only very few mistakes and operate on a very high linguistic level where German has become second nature to you.
